Is emailing to Sandy broken?
I'm sending email but it never seems to get there. I've verified the address it's correct. I can directtly add from the web interface. It's been 20 minutes since I posted an email and nothing back. Is this still due to the spam attack?

Howdy!
I'm pleased to report that our spam filter is now completely empty and Sandy is reading and responding to incoming email lickety-split.
Again, we're sorry for the inconvenience and can't overemphasize how much we've appreciated your patience while we worked to resolve this matter.
Have a lovely and productive weekend!

Howdy again, folks!
I wanted to drop in and provide an update on this issue.
The spam queue is all but completely cleared and I see Sandy replying (albeit late) to those of your messages that had been waiting in the spam system's inbound queue and those that are arriving again after being deferred earlier due to the email overload.
To give you some idea of the immensity: we've turned away over 400,000 spurious messages per day for the past couple-three days and are finally down to only 695 in Sandy's inbound queue.
We'll be continuing to work on fine-tuning that spam barrier to make it more efficient. To some degree there's not much we can do to anticipate that level of activity; on the other, we're always doing all in our power to deal with it if and when it does happen.
I apologize for the lag and trouble that undoubtedly caused you.
I'll follow up again later this evening with another update.
In the meantime, know that we appreciate your understanding, encouraging words, and all-out helpfulness.

Howdy again!
We are indeed fighting another bout of blocking (successfully!) incoming spam which is causing some of your messages to be deferred. We're working to alleviate the weight on our spam firewall systems so that Sandy can once again read and reply to your email messages at top speed.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience and expect all to be restored to normal shortly.
I'll follow up with another update within an hour or so.

Inappropriate?Emails that I sent over 3 hours ago are still not appearing in Sandy nor am I getting any confirmations.
I’m anxious
-
Inappropriate?I'm having the same problem - Sandy called in sick today ;)
-
Inappropriate?I've got exactly the same problem - I sent emails three hours ago and still nothing back. Twitters still seems to work, albeit after a short delay (as per the notice about the spam attack)
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Well, I'm glad to know that it wasn't something that I was doing wrong. I'm so new to IWS. I hope it gets fixed soon!

Inappropriate?I've been with Sandy a bit over a week and the mail has been messed up, delayed at least twice.
I'm not sure how much longer I'll keep trying.
The idea for Sandy is GREAT, but I need it to work dependably by email.
I’m dissapointed, sad, frustrated
-
Inappropriate?I been thinking also to stop using the service:(
The idea is very good but it is often broken and I feel that I cannot rely on it anymore:(
I’m considering to stop using the service

Inappropriate?I signed up yesterday, and all my emails have bounced (I have checked the settings, so it's not that). Also, I have set up twitter and that doesn't appear to be working (although the message from the 'test' button on the setup page did come through yesterday, but even that doesn't appear to work today).
I think the idea is genius, and just what I've been looking for, but it does need its reliability issues ironed out.
I’m Saddened
-
Inappropriate?Yeah, I just posted about the same problem.
I send an email to Sandy and I don't get a response and when I check my tasks on the page, the ones I send by email are not showing.
What is happening to Sandy?
We want her back
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?I'm sure they will get it sorted out shortly. I've been using Sandy for months, and this is the first time I've ever had her be non-responsive.

Inappropriate?I have the same problem.... just started today
-
Inappropriate?Hi folks!
I'm checking into this now. I believe it's one of the spam filters I put into place yesterday being a little overzealous.

Thanks for the updates -- I missed Sandy and was looking for alternatives! -
Inappropriate?Rael, does this affect Stikkit as well? Outgoing mails from Stikkit are taking up to a day to be sent.
I’m bummed
-
Howdy, Dietrich. This is affecting all of our mail. We're still working on it though. -
awesome, thanks for the update! -
Inappropriate?I'm having the same issue as everyone else - however, I joined Jott and can Jott Sandy from my phone - she seems to be getting those just fine, so I can at least keep up with myself.

Inappropriate?Hi Neal,
Please can you email to help@iwantsandy.com with your email address — the one by which Sandy knows you — and I'll take a gander.
Rael -
Inappropriate?I just tried sending email and got the mail bounced back to me...
Maybe sandy thinks my sendmail host is on a blacklist?
Neal
