keeping lists
I understand how tags work, but what about adding lists? For instance, I'd like to have a "shopping list" where I could simply email Sandy and say "Add eggs to shopping list". and then at some point, I could come back and say "remove doughnuts from shopping list." This way I could keep a running tab of what I need vs what I've already picked up previously.

Inappropriate?Perfect! Thanks! I didn't even know that all the functionality was already there!
I’m ecstatic!

Inappropriate?OK, new question, same topic. Shouldn't I be able to update a list based on "update shopping" versus "update #1?" It seems that it might be hard to remember which list is which number, if I keep several.

Inappropriate?Hi ffunky,
All sandy updates are done using the numbers assigned to details. Every time Sandy sends you a message, she enumerates each detail in the message. Then, when you reply to that message with "update #1" or "forget #2", Sandy knows which message you're replying to and therefor which detail you want to update.
It's no different with lists. The expectation is that you'll reply to a message from Sandy containing the list in question and use the number assigned to it in that message to update it. Details that Sandy tracks do not have unique names or even numbers, just numbers specific to an individual message from Sandy.
I recognize that this is probably not quite the answer you were looking for, but it's fundamental to how Sandy works: You correspond with her via email (or Jott or Twitter). That might be an easier way to think of her than as a database of arbitrary factoids on a Web site.
HTH,

Inappropriate?Hi Ffunky! While it is unlikely we'll be doing this in short order, I did want to thank you for the great suggestion. I've been noodling that very thing for some time now and will keep doing so until either the right inspiration strikes for just how to provide that feature while not getting in the way of other things Sandy already does and is going to be doing.

Inappropriate?mark me down as someone who would like to be able to name lists (frinstance Trader Joe's) and simply manipulate it that way. Maybe preface it with a # as if it were a number?
#trader joe's +case of 2 buck chuck for the party
and Sandy could do a partial match on trader. If I ever had such a thing as a smartphone, it might be possible to look up the original message but as with a Real Assistant, simply saying "add X to list A" would be pretty useful.
I’m confident.
