Minor problem: date chomped in quotation marks

I said to Sandy:

> remind me to pay a bill July 1 "due July 13"

Sandy replied (in part):

> #1 Tue, 7/1 Pay a bill "due 3"

The reminder is on the right date, but in the quotation marks, Sandy has removed important text and torn the poor number 13 in half. Definitely not what I expected!
