Sandy doesn't understand "early afternoon"

Sandy doesn't understand "early". I wrote "Remind me to call mom in the early afternoon" and she categorized it as an afternoon reminder to "call mom in the early". Can this be fixed?

We do our best to help Sandy understand as many of the subtle varieties of ways we odd humans have of specifying times but various and sundry do get past us.

I'd be glad to take a look at this -- assuming it doesn't interfere with some of the other ways Sandy already does understand. While I have you, though: what time is early afternoon? To my mind, that's around 2pm. What's your take?

I'd say 1 to 2 pm, yes. Presdo.com interprets it to mean 1pm.
