Sandy wants me to reset my password, but keeps telling me to give it another whirl.
I received the link via my phone, went to the link, put in my e-mail, and new (matching) passwords, but Sandy says To give it anothe whirl.

Hi XO,
Can you do me a favor and please send a copy of the email you received from Sandy (the one you got when you reset your password last) to help@iwantsandy.com so we can take a gander?

Inappropriate?Hi Stkelsiej,
Were you trying to visit the link on your phone? Some mobile browsers seem to be giving folks trouble when they try doing so. If so, you don't really have to as it is just the code that matters. Simply type that URL you were sent into your computer's browser, set your password, and you'll be good to go.

Inappropriate?That's what I did.

Inappropriate?Hi again,
That's what you did meaning you tried that in your regular browser? Did it work? Or do you mean you tried it in your browser and it didn't work?
The reset code that Sandy sends you is good for one time only, so if it didn't work for you in your regular browser after trying it also on your phone, that's most likely why. If you reset it again and try it only from your regular browser, all should be well.

Inappropriate?I did that the first time. I got the link as a text, I don't have the web on my phone.

Inappropriate?Hi Stkelsiej,
I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time of this most mundane part of the process.
Would you mind going to http://iwantsandy.com/forgot_password and resetting it again and then trying the link you're sent. If that doesn't work for some reason, please email that URL to help@iwantsandy.com (add "attn: Rael" to the subject line so I can look out for it) and I'll be glad to both get things moving for you and have the chance to diagnose what's going on.
We'll get you up and running!

Inappropriate?Hi Rael,
I, too, have had this problem for some time. Regardless of which browser I use (Firefox 2.0, Safari 3), I get "Can you give that another whirl?" each time I try to reset the password.
I also sent e-mail to help@iwantsandy.com with "attn: Rael" in the subject, per your instructions above. I've received no response yet.
What can I do to reset my password? I really love the service but I would like to be able to log on to access the iwantsandy.com web site, as well. -
Inappropriate?Hi Nortagawa,
I located and responded to your request to help@iwantsandy.com — please let me know if you don't receive word from me for some reason.

Inappropriate?I have the issue too, and can successfully reset the password, thissue is I have to do it everytime. I believe it might be an issue with a hyphen in my domain name.
I’m curious

Inappropriate?OK email was send yesterday. Today I did an additional discovery though that might help you solve it.
Step 1: I reset my password
Step 2: I receive the email, click on the link
Step 3: I reset my password and go on w/ business
Step 4: I goto settings and try and change the password
Step 5: Sandy tells me my current password is incorrect (and as such refuses the new password)
This makes me suspect that wat is happening is the the password given in Step 3, doesn't get recorded; and that is where the issue might be.
I’m silly

Inappropriate? The problem I think a couple of us are having here in this case is that Sandy never accepts any new password. Regardless of what we type in the "new password" box, Sandy keeps asking "Can you give that another whirl?"
It seems you were able to reset your password and get back into the application. This has never happened for me. I haven't been able to get into the application since I first made my account. -

Inappropriate? Not to be rude or pushy about this, but my email from last week has remained unanswered. What is a reasonable timeframe in which we should expect an answer?
-
Inappropriate?Hi XO,
You should not ideally have to wait at all -- I am very sorry that you have been. Have you sent email with your particulars to help@iwantsandy.com? If you could do so we will meet you there and get this handled for you.

Inappropriate?Hi Rael,
I am following up on my e-mail as well. The password reset link you sent me still gives me the same "give it another whirl" message. I sent you a screenshot of it earlier as well. Did you receive it?
- Nortagawa
I’m undecided
-
Inappropriate?Thank you Rael!
Password reset was successful. I was able to login, change my password from Settings and finally, re-login with my new password.
I got satistfaction.
- Nortagawa
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Great to hear!
As a redux, folks: when logging in or resetting your password, always use your primary email address (not your secondary one, if you have one).
We'll be sure to make that clearer in our login and password reset instructions and error messages.
Thanks for pushing on this!
