Set reminder for share on existing appointment

Is there a way to update and add a reminder for an appointment currently set for another individual:

Like so:

I sent an email to so and so and requested we meet on next monday.

I sent a reminder for sandy, but I would like to also set a reminder for someone else after the appointment has already been sent to Sandy? Is that possible?

I’m happy if it can or can't

When working with Sandy you typically just CC her on the email, so you would send the email do your friend requesting the meeting & CC her on that request.

Then, you can edit the entry as a regular appointment (via Email Updates or the Website) to specify a special reminder time which should apply to all involved.

Thanks! I'm good with it when I know at the beginning that I need to include the other party; I'm having trouble figuring out how to edit an *existing* event reminder to include someone else. (right now, I'm experimenting with sending harmless 'updates' in e-mail and cc:ing the other person on the e-mail.)
