Sms "from" number is always different
Sandy's sms messages always come from a different number (e.g.- 1 (010) 100-014). On my iPhone, this prevents them from being grouped together, and Sandy's messages hog my sms list. Anyone else seeing this?

Inappropriate?Hi DBurkes,
Thanks for writing in!
This varies by carrier and sometimes over periods of time. I know that I use AT&T (formerly Cingular) and all of Sandy's SMS missives appear grouped together nicely on my iPhone (oddly enough, some of our administrative paging messages also end up in the same grouping when they come from and to different addresses than my reminders; those I wouldn't mind having broken out.)
I know that sometimes I'll go long periods of time with nice groupings of messages from Facebook, for instance, and then suddenly get 3 in a day from 3 completely different numbers.
Part of this is no doubt due to Sandy's reminders going out to you over email-to-SMS gateway. (Having a short-code (like Twitter's 40404) is one way to gather up those outgoing SMSs under one number.) Part of it also appears to be the way of nature of SMS delivery.
If you're using an iPhone, and I may be so bold as to assume you're on AT&T/Cingular's network, might I suggest you try an experiment involving selecting "Cingular" rather than "AT&T" or "AT&T Mmode" from the mobile carriers list on your I want Sandy Mobile settings page at http://iwantsandy.com/settings/mobile? I'd be interested to see if that affects the grouping at all for you.

Inappropriate?Thanks for the reply!
"AT&T" and "Cingular" both produced the same problem with the "from" number. When I tried "AT&T mmode", I never received the message at all.
I'm sure that this is due to the email-to-sms gateway. In that case I doubt there's anything you can do on your end to solve it.
Best,

Inappropriate?Hmmm. I had the same problem. I switched my carrier to Cingular, and every message groups under 362-45 now. I have an iPhone first gen, running the 2.0 software.
I’m thankful
