SMS is not working for me anymore
As of yesterday, Sandy doesn't send me SMS reminders. They are clearly tagged @sms. My cellphone IS receiving SMS messages from other people :) I don't know what to do :(
The more people who report this problem, the more it gets noticed.

Hi Leandro,
We're having a bit of a sluggish Saturday, I'm afraid. Please do take a read through http://gsfn.us/t/bzp for an update.

Inappropriate?Sandy can send test sms messages fine, but when I tag something with @sms she's quiet and sullen, her messages never coming, despite her promises that she will call.
I’m sad

Inappropriate?Hi folks,
I'm not sure why this isn't working for you — particularly if it had been until now.
While I have been receiving SMS reminders from Sandy as usual, I took a test run to see if perhaps I could replicate the issue you're having; I sent:
remind me to look at my phone in 1 minute @sms
I got the test message a minute later as expected.
Can you please give it a whirl again — perhaps even using my simple example as written — and let us know if you don't receive the SMS. At that point we'll be glad to take a gander at your account directly and see what's what.
We'll get it sorted!

Inappropriate?Hey, Thanks for helping out.
I emailed the exact sample you wrote to Sandy, and no text came. I went to the site, and she had received it, and had understood it, so I went to my phone settings and, with out changing any settings, asked her to send me a test message. She sent it and a few moments later my phone had received it.
So I turned on sms reminders, which had been off, and sent two messages to Sandy, via two different emails:
remind me to stop eating chips in five min
and
remind me to stop eating dip in 3 min @sms
Both went through as expected.
So, I went back to my settings and turned off the mobile reminders and sent the exact same two messages.
Nothing came through. Not even the one with the @sms tag, which Sandy tells me is the only way to get a message through when my sms reminders are turned off.
To double check I asked Sandy once more to send me a test message, as sometimes sms messages seem to get "stuck" and don't come through until another one pushes them, causing several messages to arrive at once. Sadly, though, the test message came alone, ten whole min after the earlier messages should have gotten to my phone.
In brief, it appears to me (though I hate to make guesses about how Sandy works on the inside) that when I have sms reminders turned off Sandy ignores my @sms tags completely.
Is this true? What can I do to help you fix this?
I’m undecided

Inappropriate?I'm having a similar problem, except that no matter how I set the mobile reminders setting, I never get SMS reminders (they were working "fine" up to a few days ago, but arriving randomly late -- minutes to hours).
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate? Thanks for taking the time to answer, Rael. However, I feel the issue is beyond sluggish, because other people have been reporting 30-50 minute delays, whereas I am in the midst of an ongoing 27 hour delay, or the reminders are lost for good (not much difference between the two, though). I really hope you guys can get this app working, because the idea is a good one.
I’m still skeptical

Inappropriate?Hi Leandro,
Reminders already scheduled should be going out on time at this point (e.g. those you might have scheduled yesterday for today). Those that you sent in to Sandy in the past 12 or so hours might still be caught in the incoming flood of email and so haven't yet been scheduled. For instance, we set a test reminder via Twitter (which won't get caught behind the email backlog) for a few minutes later and it arrived within a minute of its due time.
Today is not the best measure of Sandy's overall performance. On the main (when we're not taken by complete surprise like this: the last such surprise was 3 months ago), we do indeed have things working rather well and Sandy seems to be liked and found incredibly useful by loads of clients.
That said, I mean this by way of explanation, not excuse, and I'm in no way minimizing the inconvenience this must be causing you.
If you're still not receiving reminders for things that you sent yesterday or earlier, please do let me know and I will be glad to look into that.

Inappropriate?Hi, Rael:
Those reminders never arrived. FYI, I didn't email them in, but instead I created them from the "New..." link on the site (http://www.iwantsandy.com/email/new), so they were up instantaneously. They were just test reminders, so I deleted them now. I created a new one today through Twitter, and prompty saw it on the web page. However, that reminder, too, is AWOL.
I tried sending a test SMS message from the settings page, and it's not going through, either. However, I am sure that the SMS address is correct (I'm using the email form) because (a) I can send test messages through Gmail OK; and (b) Remember the Milk is having no problems pushing reminders to that same SMS address.
