Twitter is not sending Sandy's reminder's to my phone anymore

Everything was working a treat this morning. I'd email Sandy and she sent me reminders to my email and (via twitter) to my mobile. However, Twitter is not sending Sandy's reminder's to my phone anymore although the emails are still getting through. Are Twitter and Sandy fighting? What's up?

I have this problem, too! Tell me when someone solves it.
The more people who report this problem, the more it gets noticed.

The company thinks this is not a problem.

I'm glad all's well. I'm not sure why the tweets weren't getting to your phone as Sandy was receiving and sending reminders from and to myself and other of her Twitter friends via Twitter just fine.

Weird. Now, 5 minutes after writing the above message, Twitter and Sandy have made up and I'm getting messages to my mobile now. Still puzzled but happy.

Hi Rael. Good to hear from you. Actually the same thing happened again this morning. I SMSed Sandy this morning (7am Melbourne Australia time) via Twitter. The reminders were registered (an email confirmation was sent to my email address) but no Sandy SMS reminders were sent via Twitter to my phone. But then they came 5 hours later. (They should have been sent around 7.30am). I checked Twitter and the messages had been registered as being sent when they should have been.

However, now Sandy's working fine. Can do everything from my mobile phone. Hopefully the unreliability will iron itself out. If you've got any hypotheses (or things I can check out at my end), please let me know and I'll get onto it.

Hi Dougal! As you said, Sandy sent the reminders out when she was scheduled to do so. So the hold-up is somewhere between Twitter and your phone. I'm afraid there's not much we can do on that front — although I do know that the Twitter folk are working hard to rope in these sorts of issues.

Otherwise, have you considered using direct SMS reminders from Sandy (visit http://iwantsandy.com/settings/mobile).

Hi Rael. Thanks for the reply. I'll try investigating it at the Twitter side. I would be more than happy to register for SMS reminders from Sandy but the service doesn't appear to be available in Australia yet. (I'm with "3" mobile.) Any plans to expand the service here too?

Hi Conrad. Thanks for posting. Soon after the original postings Sandy was working again until Twitter stopped sending SMSes in the UK (I've posted my discontent there too).

Such a pity as Sandy and I were becoming such good friends...
