Update to items using Blackberry
Sandy doesn't understand what I'm talking about if I reply with an update using a blackberry. I will ask for a lookup using "l @todo", then I will attempt to update using "u #4 -@todo", but sandy is confused and asks me if I may have deleted that particular item.
Any suggestions?

Hi folks,
We spent some time with Sandy on dealing with replies where the mail program doing the replying (in your case the BlackBerry) gives her little to go on. Outlook 2003 and the Blackberry in many situations don't bother including any of the original message references, which are how most email programs know what is in reply to what.
Our testing finds that she can now deal just fine with those not-so-helpful Outlook 2003 replies as well as those from various other mail programs.
Could you please give it another whirl from your BlackBerry and let us know how she fares for you? Something along the lines of:
remember to try out the blackberry again
[Sandy replies with a confirmation]
update #1 try it out one more time
[Sandy replies to the update]
forget #1
[Sandy replies confirming she's forgotten the item]
Thanks a ton!
Rael

Inappropriate?I'm not sure, but maybe try not including the #. I don't think it is needed when you just use u.
That may not be right... just an idea. -
Inappropriate?Howdy,
We actually have this working on the BlackBerry rather well, despite the fact that email-wise it doesn't give Sandy much to go on at all (like an in-reply-to header would be a nice touch ;-).
JD, can you pass us some more particulars about the BlackBerry and service you're using? Is it a corporate BlackBerry server? Or an independent provider like T-Mobile or Sprint? What device/model?
Anyone else using a BlackBerry out there -- how have you found this works for you (or doesn't)?
Let's see if we can narrow down what's happening and why and we'll get you fixed right up!

Inappropriate?Hi there. I just tried this on my Blackberry 8300. Same problem as JD.
I'm using the Rogers network and a BES service.

Inappropriate?Hi JD, Arnie,
Would you guys mind sending your email addresses to help@iwantsandy.com, addressed to me? That way I can take a look at the format of the messages sent by your BBs and figure out what Sandy is missing.
Best,

Inappropriate?Hi Lovefaithswing and Arnie (and other BlackBerry toters)!
I just thought to ask whether this was working for you before and suddenly stopped, never has, or you just gave it a whirl for the first time and found that it didn't.
Any further information you might be able to provide will help us tremendously in solving this for you and other BlackBerry toters.

Inappropriate?Hi Rael. After seeing JD's original post, I tried it for the first time and had the same problem.

Inappropriate?Rael,
I have tried this on my Blackberry and it does not seem to work either as well as the forget. I forwarded some emails to the help@iwantsandy.com email address a couples days ago so you all could like into it but have not heard anything back yet. -
Inappropriate?Hi Non-Sequitur,
We're working on this on our end and should have it licked very shortly.
