Weekly todo
In your examples, you list a weekly reoccuring event, like taking out the trash. In my mind, this is a reoccuring todo. This sounds like an interesting idea, say if you have a weekly status report due CoB every Friday.
However, the current implementation of this prevents from marking a reoccurring event independent of the series. For example, if I use the following string:
r Check-in lastest code Monday 5pm @work @todo @weekly
When I update today's event as done, it strips the @todo off the entire series, and deletes the future recursions.
Is this feature possible? Is there a string that I could use that would be better?

Inappropriate?I agree. Yesterday I made a @daily @todo. Then I checked it off. I got a reminder about it this morning, but it doesn't show up anywhere in my daily digest, and I have to search @done to find it.
Seems like the sensible thing to do with periodic @todos is to switch them from @done back to @todo when the period increments.

Inappropriate?Bump.
The guide says "Recurring appointments, reminders, and to-dos are a snap thanks to these special tags:", but recurring to-dos, once marked @done, don't recur. If a recurring @done item were to switch back to @todo at the time that it should recur, one would have a great way to firmly remind oneself to do something periodically—like, for example, paying the rent.
