I registered and responded to the email but I have not received a response and my account still says that it is not fully activated. I have sent several emails (email address is correct) and it has been over 4 hours.
I never get an email with password. It is not in my spam folder and I have tried the "reset password" several times and I never receive an email. My address is correct and the only address attached.
I don't know how to use Sandy anymore. What are your use with Sandy? Usually i just drop my Events in iCal, sync to my iPod Touch, Mobile phone.. So i can edit both way.
Sandy is useful if i am writing email to others, and i want Sandy to remind them.. i put her on C.C.
Beside that, i don't know how to use Sandy now.. i think i may got to retrench her haha.
Sandy says I am not following her on Twitter, but I am:
> You're not "following" me on Twitter yet. Please go to http://twitter.com/s and click "follow," then try again.
Of note is that I changed my Twitter username. However, I double-checked that the new username I entered into Sandy was correct, and that I was following @s from my new account.
I have a reminder for a birthday. As I can only one "reminder" I set it for 3 weeks before to remind me to get present. I then wanted to set it for 2 weeks before but only this up and coming birthday. When I go to web site it says "do you really want to edit whole set" but there's no "No just this one occurence" option :-(
I realise i could have replied to Sandy's twitter with "Remind me in a week" but there's no way of seeing this is there? And there's no way of doing this if you inadvertantly deleted the twitter or email :-(
I subscribed my Google calendar to Sandy's calendar feed. My Google calendar now shows a continuous appointment for "dentist" that runs from February 2008 to February 2009. I have no appointments on Sandy's calendar and can't figure out how to get rid of this on my Google calendar.
My name is spelled d'Armond (starts with a lower-case /d/), but Sandy insists on changing it to D'Armond (upper-case /D/). One thing I expect from my personal assistant is to be able to spell my name right. Can we get this fixed?
The Twitter status blog reports that the "API request limit has been restored to 20 per hour." Sandy talks to Twitter as much as she's allowed — which means she'll be picking up your tweets every 3 minutes or so given the current rate limit.
If you happen to notice any Twitter updates before we do, please do share the latest here with your fellow Sandy clients!
why don't i get the confirmation text message on my mobile phone when I send it from your site? I've inputted the correct number and carrier. I've asked the confrimation number to be resent several times. I am currently receiving text messages from other sources. Please help!
I haven't received the confirmation code on my cell phone. I entered my cell phone number, but I haven't received the confirmation code yet. I use AT&T and so I entered that carrier. But its the same thing as Cingular, so when I didn't receive it after asking for it twice, I changed the carrier to Cingular, but still haven't received it. Am I doing something wrong? :(
I love Sandy; I couldn't manage without her. But without disloyalty, I sometimes think it would be fun to have some other choices of personal assistant: a faithful robot companion, say, or a lab-coated Igor (are my geek credentials showing?). . . each scripted differently, of course, but on the same basic model. I think people like to personalize, even just a little. And when I realize how "real" Sandy is to me, and to the people who know she works for me, I wonder if you couldn't generate even more loyalty by playing to that anthropomorphizing impulse.
I have a contact in my list called "Chincoteague Island Vacations." I sent the following instruction via email:
l chincoteague contacts
and Sandy returned an email with the contact information I wanted. In other words, it worked perfectly.
Then, just to make sure I could get the same information via mobile if necessary, I used Twitter to DM Sandy with the exact same text. It didn't work. I got the standard "does not compute" response ("Hello! To remember/remind: 'd s r take a break in 15 min'; To update: 'd s u 1 @done'; For more: iwantsandy.com/examples").
Shouldn't the responses to lookups (and to everything) be the same whether one uses email or Twitter?
