Cash Out Amount
The $50 cash out may be too steep and may put off potential bloggers. I would suggest bringing it closer to the SocialSpark cash out of $20. Maybe something in the range of $20 - $30 to cash out.

We've decided to allow this. It may take a couple of weeks before we can make it available though. You will have to pay a penalty fee if you want to cash out less than $50 to help us cover the PayPal expenses. We'll have more info for you about this exciting change in the near future!

We made this decision because PayPal kills us on fees for transactions below $50. We will most likely be moving to SocialSpark to the same amount in the near future.
I wish it wasn't the case, but PayPal makes the rules here.

Inappropriate?I very much agree that since IZEA runs both companies they should match the same cash out, I think $50 is too steep especially if some bloggers are only getting $2 or $3 for their posts, they would need so many just to see benefits of their labor.

I understand the PP issues, and that's cool. I'm just under cashing out at the $50 by $8.50 though. I need another opp ;) -
Inappropriate?Hey there Ted. It's a shame that the pay out rate needs to be so high, but at least this way we'll know that dedicated bloggers will stick around. It sucks that we had to find out this way, but at least we can get all the kinks out now before going live. Great job guys, it looks promising.

I am with you. Let's petition PayPal! -
Inappropriate? What about Paypal masspay? I thought you guys were using that...?

Inappropriate?I would be willing to eat the PayPal fees for a lower cash-out amount.

Inappropriate? Also, how is it that Associated Content can pay me 3 times in the past 30 days, each payment below $2.00 and one for just .10 cents, would they not bother if they paid the transaction fee each time, I know I am not just hit with it? Maybe they are such a large user of paypal they don't pay the fee for making payments under $50?

Inappropriate?Gotta say I'm with Patrick. Give people the option to wear the fees.

Any word on this yet? -
In relation to Sponsored Tweets. How about allowing publishers with multiple twitter accounts with perhaps a few dollars each to combine all the earnings to make up the $50 ? That will be a win-win situation for both IZEA and publishers. -
Inappropriate?Hi Julie,
I hate trying to give estimates, it just makes me look dumb. :-[
Looks like my "couple of weeks" comment above was overly optimistic. I'll give you the scoop on what we have in the works. We're currently working on a way for bloggers to see jobs they qualify for, and apply for them. This will be denoted on the advertiser side as an interested party who is likely to make a post if an offer is made. Once we roll that out, we absolutely positively have to add a claim blog feature. Because we require no claiming right now, we are getting 100's of blogs in the system like "honda.com", and "walmart.com". It's creating a really awful experience for the advertisers. Once we have those 2 new things in place, we will have a better idea if we can "take a breather" and add in one of these "nice to have" features like cashing out less than $50. Unfortunately for bloggers like you, your needs are often placed as a lower priority than those of our advertisers simply because we're trying to remain competitive. We also would like to add in some automation for our advertisers, right now they have to make every single offer by hand.
So those are the big items that are on our radar currently. Please feel free to come back and ask me when you want an update. I promise to keep you all informed. But I won't make any more promises about when something will be completed.
