Unable to claim my blog
I just made a post with my randomly generated sentence in it at http://blog.affiliatetip.com/archives... but I am getting an error when trying to claim it:

Inappropriate?Hi Shawn,
Although I can find the claim sentence in the post URL that you provided above, I don't find it on the homepage of your blog.
When the system checks for the sentence, it goes out to the URL that you provided to the system and if the sentence cannot be located at that address, the script will fail.
I hope this helps!

Inappropriate?Hi Carri -
How are bloggers who only excerpt their posts on the homepage supposed to account for this?
Thanks,
Shawn -
Inappropriate?Hi Shawn,
The script will pick up the sentence from a truncated post as long as we can find it in the HTML of the page. In searching the source code of the specific post, I DO find the sentence.
However, the issue here is that our script is going to the homepage of your blog and if you search the source code of that page, the claim sentence is not found.

Inappropriate?Hi Carri -
Understood, but I included it in a post with an explanation why it was there. I don't want to just plant it in the first sentence, because then it will hit my RSS feed and the nonsense sentence will be posted to the various places I automatically syndicate my blog.
Thanks,
Shawn -
Inappropriate? That makes perfect sense, Shawn. Those sentences are nonsense. :)
Unfortunately, since this is verified by script, it either knows that it is there in the code or it isn't and is not able to make a visual distinction.
If you can find a way to include the sentence in the code without it reading as text on your blog, the script will pick that up. Also, once your blog has been claimed, you are free to remove the sentence, although this is not much help if your RSS is updated automatically.
All the Best,
Carri -
Inappropriate?Hey Shawn,
Sorry for all of these hoops you had to jump through. I went ahead and updated your blog's status to claimed in the database. I think we will need to change this process based on your feedback as well as from some other blogggers. Ideally, you should be able to enter a post URL where the claim sentence is embedded. Thanks for reaching out to us.

Inappropriate?Thanks a lot!

Inappropriate?I can't seem to get mine to read the post. How long does it take for approval?

Blogs are usually claimed within a few seconds of triggering the script. If you could please provide me with the URL of your blog, I would be happy to take a look.
All the Best,
Carri
