OFFICIAL - Make it multilingual, language support
Hi again,
I have seen that a lot of players aren't actually from the USA or any english-speaking country, and I wonder if it would be a good idea to offer more than the English language for the website.
I can actually fully translate it to french, it you think it's a good idea... (I'm french :P)
Maybe it would attract a lot more people so it may be beneficial only :D

So, I completely agree with all of you that having localized versions would be great. The bigger question is the priority of the task. Finding people to translate the site is the easy part, especially since the comments on this topic cover 3 or 4 languages, and I've received e-mails from people offering to translate into nearly 10 more. But, implementing the localization is a complex task and we have to balance it with our other progress on improving the game and adding new features.
So, back to you guys, what are the features you think are MOST in need of translation? Could, perhaps, localization of the comment threads be a reasonable start? i.e. at the bottom of the page you could choose your language, and after that the rest of the site would only show you comments in that language?
To be honest, fully localizing the website is probably not feasible in the short term, but something like localized comments just might be...

Inappropriate?Comments and that wont really need translating, but the main stuff like on the home page etc. and a good idea for people to select there language would be when they sign up they choose or there would be at the bottom of the page a Drop down menu with different languages on. Just like bebos...

Inappropriate?i won't volunteer myself to be a translator because i know that there are many volunteers that can do better than i can.. i just want to propose Tagalog(Philippine Language).. there are lots of Filipino in this game and i think it should be better to have Tagalog too..

Jamlegend had always been mostly made up of English speakers (given that it has an English interface), yet of late the comments have been predominantly of a different language and one has to search pretty hard to find English comments. This is pretty irritating. Is it okay for JL to take note of the predominant languages used and come up with different interfaces / comment boards for each of them? No racism intended, but it IS getting frustrating to see JL being taken over by people who don't speak English.

i'm from Brazil... i undertand something in english but a lot of people don't. So i think that Jam Legend could be translate for Portuguese and others language according by country of user.

Lots of my friends don't get interested of this game
just because they can not read/understand English lol
so they always play the top 10 songs then they said this is a boring game :(
