Blutooth re-connection issues
So, there's 4 friggin' buttons on the Zivio if you count the power button - but the most important button function is missing. That function is, \"make an attempt to reconnect to my bluetooth phone\". My cheap one-button headsets do this - if they're not connected and you tap the button, that's the first thing they try to do. Zivio's answer to this is to dig around in your phone menus and reconnect that way, or power off the Zivio and power it back on - both of these methods are SLOW - and lame...
Furthermore, this wouldn't be much of an issue if the Zivio would actually stay connected. My Zivio spends the night charging next to my phone (about 6\" away) and in the morning, half the time it has powered itself off, and the other half it has disconnected from the phone.
So, how about re-writing your software/firmware so that one of the many buttons makes an attempt to reconnect to the phone, eh?

Inappropriate?Sounds like a good idea to me.
Let me add another one: Having "end call" and "redial" on the same hotkey can sometimes be a bit annoying, especially if the hotkey is "press and hold button for 2 seconds". Here's why: Often, I keep the button pressed to end a call. In the meantime, the other party hung up already. As there's no active call when the function finally triggers, the Zivio issues a "redial" instead of a "hang up".
This could be fixed if the redial would be changed from "press and hold" to "double click". -
Inappropriate?I've now figured out that no matter what, I pretty much have to reboot the Zivio every morning regardless. It's either powered itself off, lost the connection to the phone, or has a degraded audio connection where no one can hear me well (I always fully extend the boom now, just to simplify things). Rather than try to figure out which of those surprises is waiting, I just reboot it every morning. Hopefully, there's some firmware recoding going on now. Anyone know if the firmware is field upgradeable? I know I'm not the only person with this problem (see Apple iPhone complaint on this board).

Inappropriate?Psyentific, I'm sorry that you're having issues reconnecting to the Zivio after long periods of dormancy or disconnections. What kind of phone are you using?
I have forwarded your issue on to our engineers, and they are currently investigating this. We will keep you posted as we find a solution. In the meantime, any additional information about the model of phone that you are using would be helpful.
Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your feedback. -
Inappropriate?I also have this issue. I thought that the turning off thing was a feature to save the battery. The disconnect and redial is also an issue for me.

Inappropriate?Yeah, same issue here with the random disconnect, or the noboby can hear me but i can hear them problem. A firmware update is seriously needed to really make this a top notch headset. I do agree with harlekyn's issue with hanging up and redialing the person you just talked to, it needs to be fixed. How about a call begining and call end confirmation tone too?!!! I dont like talking to the air or not knowing if the other person hung up b4 me without looking at my phone!
