I just purchased the Gorrillapod Focus and would now like to buy the BallHead. I have the Manfrotto RC2 quick release system on my cameras and other tripod. Can you remove the entire quick release system on the BallHead? If so, what is the thread size that connects to the quick release system?

Inappropriate?Thanks for your interest in our Gorillapods. The quick-release portion of our ballhead is not removable - it's affixed permanently to the main part of the ballhead. The thread on the quick-release plate (the part that screws into your camera) is 1/4"-20, but it comes with a 3/8" adapter as well.
You might be interested to know that we are in fact working on a quick-release solution like the one you describe. When complete, it will work with a wide variety of ballheads, tripods and other devices. It's due out in early 2010.
