No LED- ever hear of quality control?
As best I can tell, I have just received the second gorilla torch that apparently has no LED in it. What gives?

Inappropriate?Hi Thom & Brenda,
I'm sorry you're having difficulty with the Gorillatorch. I can assure you, however, that our torches all have LEDs. They are very powerful, but also much smaller and more durable than traditional bulbs. It might not look like anything's there, but the LED should be the tiny yellow square in the center of the reflector. If your light isn't working something else is likely the culprit.
For starters, please make sure the batteries all have a good charge and that they've been installed in the correct direction. They should all have the positive end facing outwards like so:

Also, be sure that the battery cap is on tight. The cap has a snug fit, so you have to turn it very firmly to make sure it locks into closed position. If it's not on very tight the battery terminals might not make contact.
If those tips don't solve the problem, we'd be happy to help troubleshoot further or replace your Gorillatorch with a functioning unit.
From your post it sounds like you've received two Gorillatorches already, but I can't find any record of a customer with your last name in our system. May I ask where you purchased your Gorillatorch?
If you'd like to initiate a replacement or if you have any questions about how to use the Gorillatorch, please send us an email to info@joby.com and we'll do whatever we can to make things right.
Thanks for your patience.
