Inappropriate?I would like to get my hands on a .iso too. My old laptop (Sony VAIO VGN-140P) is a tiny laptop, I think jolicloud should be just right for the form factor. However, it does not support booting from USB.
I've tried many things (ccd2iso, nrg2iso, mkisofs, plain renaming) to create a .iso file, burn it to a CD and boot from it. But nothing has worked so far.
I’m hopelessly waiting for a solution!

Inappropriate?I tried another method using 'cdrecord' (outlined at http://moblin.org/documentation/test-...), but it did not work. I guess moblin's .img and jolicloud's .img are not quite the same.
On the positive side, I now have a full set of 12 coasters (from in-the-name-of-jolicloud bad CDs!)
I’m still looking...

Inappropriate?I worked around this problem by using PLoP Bootmanager (google it). I am posting this from Jolicloud, installed on a Laptop that does not support USB boot!
I’m happy to have found a work around

Inappropriate?Mac users can convert the file:
hdiutil convert /path/to/filename.dmg -format UDTO -o /path/to/savefile.iso -
Inappropriate?Jolicloud is distributed as an ISO file since Alpha2c

Inappropriate? If anyone here uses windows you can just rename the extension to IMG and it works fine :) No special commands, etc necessary.
-
And why would you want to rename the extension from ISO to IMG? -
Inappropriate? So you can use an alternate program that supports IMG files. This is what I had to do since the Jolicloud USB creator did not work for me. You can use your IMG with win32diskimager

Worked great in my case.
