configuration problems with my jolicloud
Getting the following error when trying to logon to my jolicloud: "You seem to have a configuration problem. Please try to restart your computer.
Feel free to contact us if the problem persists."
The reason being that the jolicloud-daemon is not starting with the system. Trying to start it manually via terminal throws a python exception.

Inappropriate?Hello,
this error seems to happen when the jolicloud daemon tries to connect to the logging daemon (the socket /dev/log doesn't seem to exist).
It's weird that you are the only one to get this error. Did you change anything on your system? Which netbook model do you use?
It would be interesting to know if there is something in the file /var/log/user.log.
I will add a mechanism to catch this error in the next version of the daemon. -
Inappropriate?Oh now I now why. My sysklogd was turned off. I turned it back on in the services settings and everything works fine now. Thanks.

Sysklogd is turned on for me and I still have the problem.
I'm running Jolicloud in Easy Peasy on an Asus Eee 1000. -
Inappropriate?Ok great :)
Did you turn it off manually?
This is clearly a defect of the daemon, it will be fixed in a coming update.
-
Inappropriate?Yeap, I had turned it off manually.
