Installation/"LiveCD" issues with a Asus eee 701 8G
How is the support for Asus 701 8G coming along? Ive tried using the "live cd" to test jolicloud on mine (with bios 502) but it never works.
First try it stopped during the loading screen. After reformatting the usb stick and trying again it goes past the loading screen but all i see is the mouse cursor and it isnt loading anything at all.
If i press the power button the screen starts to flicker various shades of black, and says sometimes "checking battery state" and just loops it over and over until i have to force it to shut down.
If i enter bios and set the "OS installation" to "Start" it loops the "Checking battery state" right after the loading screen. It stops with a blue and gray screen saying the display server has been shut down due to an error and will retry after a few minutes.
Is jolicloud really tried and tested on one of these netbooks? If so, maybe my usb stick is faulty, or there is something wrong with my eee?

Inappropriate?Same EeePC as you have and mine is working fabulously. Best OS for the EeePC. I'm running the same version as you do. Try downloading and creating the USB stick again.
