Is Synaptic Package Manager available?
Synaptic Package Manager is usually under the System menu in Ubuntu, but it isn't in Jolicloud. Is it available please? I'd like to add the global repositories and have a play around. Many thanks - I'm really enjoying this distro, and it might be first time I actually stick with Linux :-)

Basically like Vista's UAC, sudo/gksu is just an extra layer of security. -
Inappropriate?Just invoke sudo Synaptic in the Terminal. You can add it to Favorites but due to a bug, unlike with the Update Manager, its useless there. ;-)
