I created a private site and now i can't enter it. I used the right password, and also tried resetting it. nothing. I get thrown back to the login page.
Eventhough part of the beauty of Jottit is its simplicity, I just wanted to ask if there were any plans to add an HTML editor to Jottit .. or if others would also what that added.
It works on my mobile device (Windows Mobile, 320x240 screen) but the display (not the edit) is very narrow because the margins and sidebar take up a lot of the minimal real-estate.
Make a mobile CSS stylesheet that moved the sidebar links to the footer area, and don't worry about the live preview. Just being able to enter text is a great start.
It's been a month or so that I need to refresh the browser many times before I got some pages to show. Same with the publish button after editing... should I backup my data or is the service in good shape? I really like it by the way... It's a beauty!
I'd like to see other examples of how people use jottit. How/where can i access a list of other jottit users with public access? is jottit more like a community or more like a hosting company?
Please read the bugs and feature requests on http://tantek.jottit.com . These issues are keeping some users from using Jottit over PBwiki.
Additionally, I'd like to know if anyone from Jottit is even listening and actively working on it anymore? It seems kind of like a ghost town on the news and updates.
Specifically, I'm using inline markup for creating a table (please smack me if there is an easier way in Markdown) and would like to add border: 1px, that sort of thing. I tried style="" on the table element but that gets cumbersome. Is there a way to add to the style tag in head or link to a stylesheet? I don't believe a style tag is allowed in the body, and actually it's not a supported inline element in Markdown.
It'd be great if I could have a page on which I define all my reference links, which then gets included whenever any of my other pages get translated from Markdown to HTML. It can be annoying to copy the same link definitions from page to page.
is there a page length limit on jottit? my friend has been building a site based on historical documents, and some of the pages are extremely long (many thousands of characters). is this likely to cause any problems? he has seen some pages not displaying as expected.
hmm... so i just deleted a site and got the message, "if you want to get it back, you'll need to ask tech support to restore it by hand". so, how long exactly does it exist on some server? now i wish i deleted all content first. =[
