Canceling membership due to moving outside coverage area.
I moved to the city of Seattle from San Diego last September. There is no kaiser near me. I was told to go to Group Health for a period of 90 days. I will be in Seattle at least until May or June of next year. So I need to cancel my membership so I can join a local health insurance provider. What's the procedure?

Inappropriate?If you are with an employer group you would need to cancel with them, if you have an individual policy you will need to submit your request in writing. Contact member service to confirm. Also you mention you are moving to seattle washington. I believe we have a Kaiser in Seattle. Confirm with your member services before canceling. You can be set up as a visiting member in Seattle. I would suggest you call member service first and get more information.
