complete negligence topped with a very cold, uncaring attitude
My father (69 years) was admitted to the hospital with symptoms that made the staff panic, thinking it was swine flu. In fact, he's had asthma for years -- as Kaiser well knows. However, once the Kaiser staff realized he didn't have swine flu, they admitted him then ignored him. They came by multiple times to ask if he had a family member who could take on power of attorney. However, it wasn't until 7 hours later that they finally offered to give him the appropriate asthma medicine. What kind of treatment is this?

Inappropriate?Im sorry this happened to you but in my experience with healthcare i think a lot of times we expect immediate attention to our loved ones when they are sick but in all reality it takes time to coordinate care for one single patient and unfortunately thats just the way it is as much as we would like it to be different. Just trying to relax, breathe and speak to the appropriate people helps
