Byron,
In addition to email export, iTunes automatically backs up data for all applications on your iPhone each time you sync. This means if your iPhone is damaged, or you are migrating to a new iPhone, your data should be saved in the Backup and be able to be Restored via iTunes. This worked for me personally when I migrated from a first generation iPhone to the iPhone 3GS.
The email export is a dependable backup system for getting your data off your iPhone, too. It is a secondary backup system to Apple's built-in iPhone backups in iTunes.
Does this ease your fears about backing up?
Most apps have no further backup beyond these two methods - an online sync or small desktop app is a possibility I am investigating for future versions, the most likely implementation being online sync.

Use the email export to back up your data. To do this, tap on your auto, then tap "Email entries." The following screenshot is from the upcoming version 1.20:

Email the entries to yourself. If you need to import them in the future, use the form at

Unfortunately it seems that the Car Care import is not working. I get some undescripive error after entering the data. The data is copied and pasted from the export file. -
Roger, please be sure to copy and paste from the line starting with "Odometer" and below - do not copy the vehicle-specific information at the top, since that is all set inside the app. -
Inappropriate? The only logical answer is to make a small desktop app that will save data

Inappropriate?I can't waist any more time until there's a dependable backup system
I’m waiting before i use it again
