export data as email attachment
CarCare data are included in the email as plain text, and this doesn't facilitate the exporting process. Most web based email readers can't manage the exporting of text without the risk of loosing the original formatting. The correct way of adding data on an email is by encoding it as attachments.

Inappropriate?Are there other iPhone apps that send an email attachment?
I think I could do this, but I would need to send the data out to a server and then have it email back, rather than emailing directly from the iPhone's mail.app... but this could certainly be accomplished. Perhaps I will try doing this... thanks for the feedback. -
Inappropriate?Thanks for your prompt answer!
While looking at photos on the iPhone, you can send them via email and you get an email with an attachment using the usual mime standard:
--Apple-Mail-1--878228904
Content-Disposition: inline;
filename=photo.jpg
Content-Type: image/jpeg;
name="photo.jpg"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64

I don't know how it does it, though. From a quick search on Google I realised that apparently attachments on the iPhone is a pain in the neck. -
Inappropriate?How do I export Car Care data as an email attachment? When I email from within Car Care I don't see an option "as attachment". What am I missing
I’m hopeful
-
Inappropriate?Export as an email attachment will be an improvement in a future version of Car Care, version yet to be determined. For now, "Email export" will export your data in a tab-delimited email, which should work for most cases.
The company says
this solves the problem

Inappropriate?If it might help, I noticed that iXpenseIt http://www.ixpenseit.com/ixpenseit.php is exporting via email using attachments. I don't know how they do it, though.
