How can I speak my kwirys with Jott?

1. Sign up for Jott if you're not already a member and log in to your Jott account.
2. Click "Add JottLinks" under Manage Links (it's on the right hand side of your dashboard/login page under the larger heading "out".
3. Look for kwiry (towards the bottom) and click add. Or click here to do this directly.
4. Place your first test call to Jott (866-JOTT-123)- when it asks "who to Jott" say ‘kwiry’. Then you can speak anything just like you would if you were sending a text message. For example:
Jott: "Who do you want to Jott?"
User: "kwiry" (pronounced just like query )
Jott: "kwiry - is this correct?"
User: "yes"
Jott: 'beep'
User: "Alicia Keys"
Most kwiry Shortcuts work via Jott:
To make the Privacy shortcut work even easier with Jott, you can say the full word “Private” in front of your kwiry, e.g. “Private buy anniversary gift for Sarah”.
For the “list” shortcut, it will be challenging to get Jott to include commas, so this probably won’t work correctly.

Inappropriate?Recently, Jott must have changed their speech engine so when reading back your Jott link, it pronounces kwiry as "kilowatt eery". We're working with them to resolve, thanks for your patience. It still functions the same though, just sounds strange...

Inappropriate?Alerted Jott to the issue above (kwiry being mispronounced on Jott) and it's fixed so kwiry is pronounced correctly again! Yay! Let us know if it goes back to sounding weird ever....

Inappropriate?In September, Jott decided to start charging users for most Jott services, including the kwiry Jott link. See here for more. So unfortunately, to use kwiry via Jott, you'll need to buy one of their premium subscriptions. You can still use Twitter with the free Jott service though, so in theory you could use the kwiry Twitter integration to work around this problem as a workaround. Let us know what you think of Jott's decision and how it affects your use of kwiry.
