Why can't I increase my text and image size ?

I just got a t61 with a 15" widescreen. the writing and images on the screen are TINY to the point I can barely use the computer (or at least don't want to..) I've tried changing the screen settings but if I lower the resolution every thing looks really jagged and a bit blurry. increasing the dpi only made the tab headline bold and bulky but did not affect anything else. Am I doomed to get a headache every time I use my brand new laptop?

Which model screen did you get, the WUXGA?

When choosing a system with a native higher resolution capability, the objects are going to be smaller. Some pixalization will occur (things look blocky / stairstepped diagonals) when lower, non-native screen resolution settings are selected.

The community here is limited in size, I would suggest you also visit http://forums.lenovo.com and http://forum.thinkpads.com and share your observations. Other community members there may have some suggestions to improve the usability.

Use accessability features within XP or Vista- that might help.
