Why haven't I gotten my Lenovo rebate within the last 3 months?
According to the website, my Lenovo rebate was approved at the end of Janury, but I still haven't got my check. I have tried calling customr service, but it has been over 2 weeks since I left my first message and no one has called me back. How can I get my rebate check?

Inappropriate?Oy. I hate rebates. Did anyone get back to you yet? Did you also try sending an e-mail to them? I wonder if they outsource the rebates to someone else.

I heard something yesterday! The paperwork was mailed in to them in Jan. 2005 and on July 29, 2008 I received an email saying please allow 30 days after the check is mailed....What's up with that??? -

Lenovo does utilize a partner for rebate fulfillment, but the performance has been very good. Sorry to hear that yours has been delayed. I'm happy to investigate it for you and help get this resolved.

Purchased the Lenovo in Dec. 2004, mailed the rebate paperwork in Jan. 2005. Received this email from the "very good" rebate service on July 29, 2008 - (Rebate 4U) - Thank you for purchasing Lenovo! Your rebate check has been mailed. Please allow at least 30 days from the mailed date to receive your check.
So after three almost 4 years whats another 30 days? Will the check really come in the mail? -
Inappropriate?Same problem. Applied 4/9/08, still waiting. Three calls, two returned (one just made again!) all saying 'it's getting closer' - of course, it has now been 12 + weeks, and not the 6-8 they said it would be originally.

Inappropriate?I haven't got my rebate. I got the confirmation email on May 26th and another email on June 6th telling me it's approved and takes 4-6 weeks for me to get the cheque.
Now's it's has been 6 weeks and I'm still waiting. Status check online returns nothing and messages left on the 1-800 number has not be replied. I've never had any problem with any rebate before, but I have a feeling that the best case scenario is it will be delayed for significant time. -
Inappropriate?Got my rebate on July 12th after initial submissioni on April 9th. Three phone calls, all of which were returned, and check arrived as they finally said it would, excpet 13-14 weeks instead of 6-8 wks. DOn;t now if thy're just slow or if they only do something IF you call - companies do rebates because some averages are only that 15% of people ever apply fr them, so they make money or why do it! Anyway, all set and lesson learned - AGAIN, but NEVERMORE.

Inappropriate?I bought my daughter a Lenovo notebook computer back in 2004 at out local Office Depot. Filled out the rebate paperwork, spent a lot of time getting it just right because I didn't want to "forfeit" the rebate due to error in the paperwork.
I never heard back from them. I received the Office Depot rebate on the product but never received the Lenovo rebate.
Well guess what, yesterday I got an email saying that the rebate check had been mailed!! After almost 4 years. What's up with that?
Well that piece of junk computer has since been retired and she has been on a Mac going on two years now.
I will never purchase another Lenovo product. The only reason I purchased this one was the two rebates that were offered. The computer was already overpriced at over $900, with the rebates it would have been around $600. Still a lot of money to spend on a computer for an 8 yr. old.
The Lenovo is in the junk yard, the Mac is sharp as a tack and fast as lightening!
I will see if the check is really in the mail????

Inappropriate?Update: I clicked over to the Rebate 4U website and Office Depot is not listed in the purchase list anymore. I guess there were too many complaints. I will check with the local manager next time I go in and ask him why they no longer sell the Lenovo computers.
My first thought when I got the long awaited email was that Lenovo was hurting and needs money... If that is the case maybe they should have treated their customers better so they would be loyal to the brand..
