Ability to easily merge line items on an invoice when importing from More Honey. I have one client for whom I give an itemized accounting of what sub-projects I worked on during the week. I'll have time entries for a particular sub-project scattered throughout the week, and right now I use the note feature to record the specific sub-project.
When I generate a Less Accounting invoice from that More Honey data, I'll have multiple line items for the different time entries related to a particular sub-project, which looks pretty messy. I'd prefer to be able to select the different line items and merge them.
Alternately, More Honey could provide the ability to either group "projects" into another level of hierarchy (like "client" or "sub-project" or "task"), or the ability to generate a report with summed lines for the time entries with the same note.
Most everything my business purchases is online, and I receive an email receipt/invoice. It's a pain in the ass to manage these electronic receipts and keep proper records -- I don't want to waste paper and print them and I don't want a folder on my computer full of misc emails saved as PDFs.
Ideally, these receipts are attached to a ledger entry in LessAccounting. However, it's very time-consuming to open the email invoice, save as PDF, and upload into LessAccounting.
So, here's the idea ... give my LessAccounting account a special email address where I can forward my e-receipts. I'll either forward them manually or set up forward rules. LessAccounting will automate the processing of these emails and convert to a PDF. They will be placed in some bucket in my account waiting for me to link them to a ledger expense. So, once a month I can log into LessAccounting, import my bank transactions and link each to a receipt that has already been uploaded.
I have been using QuickBooks for Mac for a while. I would like to move to an online accounting system, and Less Everything looks like it'll handle my needs. However, it doesn't look like there's a way to import from QuickBooks. Is there?
Any idea on when Less Accounting will import tags from Wesabe? I would like to get the data into LessAccounting, but I use multiple tags in Wesabe, and that is very useful for me. You mentioned the feature some time ago, just curious how it was coming along.
When I import a QIF file it displays the entries as rows for editing with all the dates in the form DD/MM/YYYY. However on saving these it confuses some of the entries.
If a date is something like 26/09/2008 this is entered to the system without problems (as 26th September 2008) but 03/09/2008 is interpreted as 9th March 2008 rather than the 3rd September 2008. In other words, if the date could be interpreted as being in North American format it assumes it is, even though other entries in the same file are in European order.
I am just playing with your system before I purchase and so far well done, I have two problems at moment firstly the quick formatting is showing the code and the formatted text plus it is not adding the paypal button. Can you help
How can I print easy to read reports for my records. I think that format for the reports looks great online, but there is no option to print these in the format displayed. When I tried to print, it printed everything on the page (buttons and links).
I like to keep hard copy records, so an option for a clean report to print would be a huge advantage. Additionally, adding the logo to the print page of the reports would also produce a great product when printed (just a thought).
Hello, I have made a few proposals, but I can't seem to make them as a status of pending for them to show on the dashboard. I have read other help topics talking about even more status' available, but I can't find any :)
How do I export data in a format my accountant can deal with? I believe most accountants know how to deal with data in Quicken format, can LE expert in that form?
Is there an easy way to set up recurring invoices? I have a client that needs to be billed the same amount on the same date every month for the next year. Any way to automate this?
I think there should be a running balance in the account report. I was trying to balance the books this weekend and was having a very hard time with no running balance.
In europe every Client has a VAT number which needs to be invoices as well as your own. It would be great if Less accounting could keep possible European users in mind. Are there any furture plans for this?
