Get the F-Bomb off the Home Page of http://lesstimespent.com/
Look guys, I'm no prude. I drop a fair amount of f-bombs throughout my day. I got a notice last night about http://lesstimespent.com/ and thought I would check it out as a replacement to freshbooks - sent my 17 year old intern there to evaluate...
..and she saw the "Steve Bristol..." blog title on the home page and questioned my sanity.
I am ALL for personality and quirk and free speech... but maybe not on the HOME PAGE, and maybe with a disclaimer for the blog...?
"Our goal when building web apps is to create something that people tell others about."
Guys, with profanity up front on a business home page, you've created the biggest possible barrier to me (your customer) telling anyone.

Inappropriate? That is pulled from our latest blog posts. It'll be gone when we write a few more posts. I'm sorry we've offended you. We always believe in being ourselves and letting our personalities shine through. I guess we're ok with an f-bomb every once in a while. I agree we probably wouldn't put the f-bomb as permanent text on the home page, or any page. I guess I feel that since it's from a blog post, which is relatively temporary (because they move down the stack) it's not too big of a deal.
Thanks for sharing your opinion, it's nice to get a different perspective. -
Inappropriate?Going by the rate and date of current blog postings, it'll be there for a couple months. Which means I can't send any of my travel industry clients over until its gone, and I'm speaking at a conference in September on cloud computing and you were mentioned along with freshbooks and batchblue. So blog fast, because I want to keep your slide in there without looking like I'm off my nutter - people won't get past the word to see the good stuff.
I'm not offended in the sense that I think you're going to burn in hell - I follow your anus on twitter for pete's sake. I'm not fragile.
I'm bummed because in the bigger business picture I can't tell people about your services for a while because there is still a line - and this crosses it for me and those that I would refer.
Just my opinion. Everyone's got one.
I’m seriously bummed

Inappropriate?Thanks Chelle,
We'll write as a fast as we can. :)
