I added my paypal account and it took in the correct balance but it did not take in the transactions. Did I do something wrong?

Inappropriate?"Didn't take" do you mean your transactions weren't imported? The nightly import can only import transactions from the past few weeks. To get those transactions in you'll need to either manually import them using the qif importer or hand enter them in. The importer can only import data from as far back as your banking provider allows us.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?I imported the full paypal account using the auto import link and only the balance and 1 transaction came with it. Is there a method of manually importing the rest ofthe transactions from Pay Pal
I’m undecided

Was that one transaction the only transaction for the past few weeks?
You'll need to download a qif or qfx file from paypal and import that file into the app using the manual importer that can be found under "import data > import bank data" -
Inappropriate?here are instructions I got when I googled it.
1. Log on to your PayPal account at PayPal.com.
2. Click on My Account if you are not already in this section of PayPal.
3. Click on the History subtab, between Withdraw and Resolution Center.
4. See the History menu bar on the left in PayPal, click on Download My History.
5. You have two choices for date ranges to download:
* Custom Date Range: enter dates from and to that you want to downloaded to Quicken.
* Last Download to Present: do not enter a date range, this option downloads all transactions since you last downloaded PayPal history for use in Quicken.
6. Select the file type Quicken - QIF for the downloaded PayPal transactions from the File Types for Download selection menu under the date range method you selected.
7. Click on Download History on the bottom right.
8. Save the PayPal History Download to your desktop for easy access. By default, the file name is Download.qif; change the file name if you wish. You will delete this file once you import it.
9. If you see a message that says the QIF file is for use with Microsoft Money, ignore it.
10. Click on Save to download the PayPal History file to your computer.
Now that you have downloaded your PayPal transactions, you must import the transactions into your Quicken account.
1. Select the account you want to download the transactions to in the account bar or the account list (Cash Flow/Cash Accounts/Select account).
2. Click on File/Import/QIF file.
3. The QIF import window opens. Click on browse to find the downloaded PayPal history transactions.
4. Click on the box next to Look in: to find the PayPal history QIF download. If you saved the file to your desktop, click on Desktop (may need to scroll up or down to find Desktop) and select the file. Click OK.
5. Ensure that box next to Quicken account to import into: is your PayPal account.
For Include in import, select Transactions. You may also select any of the other options as well:
* Memorized Payees - include items from the Memorized Payee List.
* Account List - include items from the Account List.
* Special handling for transfers - if you've exported to several QIF files from a number of Quicken accounts in the same file and are using Import to re-create all the transactions by importing from several QIF files. This choice prevents duplicate transfer transactions when you import data from both the to and from accounts involved with transfers.
* Category List - include items from the Category List.
* Security Lists - include items from the Security List and the Security Prices List.
* If you've purchased Quicken Home & Business, select the Business Lists check box to include items from the Invoice Items List and the Business Templates List.
6. Click Next to complete the import.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?OK thanks found it. I think I need to start from scratch with this transactions.
I cannot check my account transactions in the Watch Money menu.
I think I need to delete all the transactions as the balance is way off after the import.

Inappropriate?OK we are nearly there. I have all my paypal account imported. I only got all the transactions form 24th of Feb up to today. My Balance is correct. I have invoices on the system that have not been paid that were issued before the 24th of Feb but the transactions to part them up to are not visible.
I am afraid if I put them manually in the Balance will be effected
-
I'd recommend under payments/deposits associate the deposit with the invoice. That doesn't "add" more balance just associates the deposit to the invoice marking them as paid. -
Inappropriate?I have invoices raised in the system that the paypal deposits never imported onto the system I have 2 deposits and 3 withdraws that never imported when I synced with paypal as they were before 24th Feb. I assume if i enter them manually they will effect the balance. Note the balance is correct at the moment

I would recolile the account to match Paypal. Check the start balance of the bank account and verify that is correct as well.
