Incorrect 'sent from' email address showing when sending invoices
How do I change the return email address so 'Less Accounting' doesn't appear as the sender when I sent out an invoice to a client (via email)??

Inappropriate? We had some trouble with invoices ending up in spam folders, so we changed the way emails are sent. Now the From field is the Less Accounting account and the Reply to field. We made this change last night. I'm waiting to talk to Allan and see how he likes it to decide if we'll keep it or change it back.
I'll post back here later today. -
Inappropriate?Yes, please do. It doesn't make sense for something we send out to show up as coming from another company!! My customers have previously received invoices without any trouble and I much prefer it the other way.
-
Inappropriate? The way we changed it is the proper way to do it. I think to accomdate, we're going to make it an option, so you can do it the nice way first and then if it gets blocked you can do it the other way.
I'll try to have this in tonight's deploy so it will work for you tomorrow.

I've ran into similar issues before, and the Sender: tag (Section 4.4 at http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc822#sec... -- the full anchor tag doesn't work) has been of immense help. That way, From: can always be the user or company's name, but Sender: is always invoice_mailer@lessaccounting.com. -
Inappropriate?Ok, I've deploy this fix, there is one small bug that I missed in qa with the naming of one of the email from address choices, but I'll fix that tomorrow.
Let me know what you think.

Hi, I'm trialling your less accounting product and glad that this has been fixed! One thing though, when I receive the email, the sender just comes up as "accounts" rather than the full company name, which I picked from the list. Can this be changed to include the full company name? -
Inappropriate?I made a change last night. Can you send me an invoice illustrating the problem? steve @ lesseverything.com

Hi Steve, I'm seeing the same behavior this morning. The From: field on the invoice email is "From: my.email.address@domain.com" instead of "From: My Company Name <my.email.address@domain.com>".
Also, the Reply-To: field currently is "Reply-To: My Name <my.email.address@domain.com>". Could that be changed to be "Reply-To: My Company Name <my.email.address@domain.com>"?
Cheers! -
Inappropriate? This will be fixed in the next push (hopefully tonight).
