line item presets / income accounts?
there are expense accounts, why aren't there income accounts? it would be really nice if i could add line items from product/service presets which are tied to income accounts. would really add value to the accounting features. are there any plans to add something like this?

Inappropriate?Hi, sounds like you're in need of an inventory system. We hoping to build an inventory module sometime in 2009.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?not necessarily -- we do web development and would like to organize our income by classification -- monthly hosting, app development, design, and revenues from each of our branded products. it seems that these classifications could help any type of small business when it comes to analyzing cash flow, viewing a balance sheet or making any kind of income report.I was a little surprised to see the insert line item form was only text entry with no option to look up predefined items and pricing. Adding this feature might be a good segueway to your inventory module as I can see how the two features would overlap. The simplicity and convenience of LessAccounting has surely won me over, but having income accounts is a feature I'd expect from any accounting system.
I’m hopeful

Inappropriate?Hi again, to solve this issue use the tagging system. Tags can be added to expenses, payments/deposits and invoices but, unfortunately not line items.

Thanks for the complements on the app, it's a hard path to be robust and simple. Meet the needs of the user and not be bloatware.

Inappropriate?I overlooked the tags before, but I think that will work quite well. Should give me just the functionality I need. Tagged line items is probably overkill. The only suggestion I would offer is the ability to select from existing tags. Not a big deal, but i'll just have to get used to typing out the tags each time and remembering what they're named.

Inappropriate?Pre-existing tags selection, I totally agree. Everything is a work in progress. We're planning on building that function very soon.

Inappropriate?I would second the motion for income types. That would make it much easier to track how you're making $. Does Less Everything use only tags to break how they're getting revenue?
Also, when you click on pre-existing tags, are they supposed to populate the field?
