For our invoices, I need to apply GST, followed by PST on the total invoice amount. How do I do this?

claude there is a solution change your % to reflect a compounded tax solution.
a) create two sales taxes, one is 5%
b) the second is 7.875%
apply both and it comes out dead on every time 7.875 is an effective 7.5 on the prior net

Hi Louise, first you'll need to be on the "more accounting package". To change app packages it's under "Settings > Edit Business Settings". Once you've done that, you'll scroll down a bit more on the page and see a place to enter in multiple sales taxes.

The taxes don't compute correctly.
In Canada, we need to be able to do compound taxes:
100$ + GST + PST = (100)x(1.05)x(1.075) = 112.88 (not 112.50) -
Are your taxes compounded? -
Yes, they are compounded. -

Inappropriate?Thanks. This works great.
GST 5%: coded as 5.00%
PST 7.5%: coded as 7.875%
(However, once saved, the field show 7.88 but compute the taxes correctly as 7.875 in invoices).
I’m happy
