View paid sales tax
Is there a way of seeing how much sales tax I have paid? Say I entered an expense of 119,- and the local sales tax (Dutch) is 19%. Is there a way of seeing that I paid 19,- in sales tax? I would expect that under 'Watch Money' -> 'Sales Tax', but maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot.
I would use this to file my taxes.

The sales tax report pulls data from the invoices, how much you've charged your customers for sales tax. To see how much you've paid the government you'll need to view your "Chart of Accounts" report which shows your paid expenses broken down into expenses categories.

Inappropriate?I see. I guess the sales tax system is quite a bit different from the US. Your approach does not do it for me as I pay 19%, 6% or 0% VAT. In the 'Chart of Accounts' I can't for example select multiple 'Payables'.
However I did came up with a solution. I now tag my expenses with the relevant VAT. Under 'Payables' I can filter on tag which solves my problem.
Great software btw!

Thanks for the kind words Harm. We currently don't have an elegant solution for marginal billing and marginal vat taxation. Our app is very flexible and is suited for many countries. Unfortunately it would be an insane task to support every country's tax laws. Also there is a sales tax report as well. -
Inappropriate?I don't think you need to support every country's tax laws - there just needs to the option for people to define their own sales tax rates. LA already has this option with multiple sales tax for invoices. We just need it on the other end too - a field that collects the tax inputs on expenses.
Ideally it would be a drop down with the user defined tax rates and a check button to say whether it was inclusive or non inclusive on an item by item basis. -
Inappropriate?I agree with Kitty It would be very useful.
