Wich plan should I use and how does this progrma support the sales taxes in Quebec
Hello,
I have a small business in Quebec, Canada. No employes, we make about 10 invoices per month and pay about 15 to 20 bills, ether by checks or directly via internet bank services.
What plan should I use ?
Does this program supports the 2 sales tax that we have in Quebec ?
Can I use this program to make my tax report every 3 months ?
How can I program it to fit with my checks ?
Thank you.
Dominique

claude there is a solution change your % to reflect a compounded tax solution.
a) create two sales taxes, one is 5%
b) the second is 7.875%
apply both and it comes out dead on every time 7.875 is an effective 7.5 on the prior net
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Hi Dominique, you'll have to use the More Accounting package to have multiple sales taxes. Here's a video on sales taxes. http://www.viddler.com/explore/lessev...
You can use the data you collect in LessAccounting to do your taxes, we do not calculate taxes for you. We're not trying to replace your accountant, but to make your daily bookkeeping activities faster and less painful.
I don't quite understand your last question about checks. But if you have an expense that is paid by check you can record the check number in less accounting as well. Clarify your questions if you don't mind.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Hi, I am on a free trial still deciding if this service suits my needs. I am also working in Quebec and we have 2 sales taxes. The first (GST) is 5% and the second (provincial tax) is 7.5% but calculated on the total+GST. I can't figure how to do that with your software.

Inappropriate?yep, i have the same problem as Francois

Inappropriate?I have the same problem here.
100$ + GST(5%) + PST(7.5%) = (100)x(1.05)x(1.075) = 112.88
I’m sad

Inappropriate?Thanks. This works great.
GST 5%: coded as 5.00%
PST 7.5%: coded as 7.875%
(However, once saved, the field show 7.88 but compute the taxes correctly as 7.875 in invoices).
I’m happy

The field now shows 7.875. You're fast. Thanks again.
