Frozen Ribbon @ 2/3's
I can't open YouVision. It froze up and nothing I do will help. I have the 8320. I have uninstalled the application 3 times. Played with the permission. Played with the browser etc..... Nothing Works. Great product. I want it back. I would be grateful for assiatance.

Inappropriate?Alright, my IT guy at church helped me get it (YouVersion) back. Go to the web sight below, sorry it is so long. Basiclly you do a 1_full backup with the desk top software, 2_then do a handheld wipe which clears all the info off the phone and 3_then restore the info with the desktop software and 4_then reinstall the YouVersion. Go to site below and scroll down to cause #6, this will give you the step by step.
IMPORTANT!!! Understand this work around is a solution for a message issue, but it does not matter, it is a software issue, it requires the same solution. The message issue and the YouVersion issue, are both corrupt software issues and therefore require the same solution.
In case you cannot get the website, I will cut and paste the recipe.
Cause 6
Unknown corruption on the BlackBerry smartphone.
Resolution 6
Complete a security wipe by performing the following steps:
1. Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
2. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
3. Click the Backup and Restore application.
4. Click Back up to back up the data on the BlackBerry smartphone.
5. When the backup is complete, disconnect the BlackBerry smartphone from the computer.
6. On the BlackBerry smartphone locate the Options icon.
7. Select Security Options.
8. Select General Settings.
9. Press the Menu key and select Wipe Handheld. Check to include third-party applications.
10. Once complete your message indicator should be gone.
11. Restore your information from your backup file. For help on restoring data, see KB10339. Just restore the information you backed up earlier. If you don't understand this get some help. It works, I did it.

I agree that wiping your phone is not an ideal solution, but if it fixes the problem, it is a solution. As David mentioned, according to the article on the BlackBerry website, the issue here is Cause #6, which is an unknown corruption of the BlackBerry smartphone. This may not have anything to do with an individual piece of software, but of the security features of the device itself.
The article describes how to do a backup, then restore after the wipe, so no data should be lost. -
I disagree. I figured out long ago that a wipe "solves" the problem, but the corruption occurs again within a day or two. To accept this as a solution means being prepeared to wipe your BB every few days. -

In the next few weeks we will be releasing a new version with the new live features. It also has totally different connection code. I'm hoping that will fix some of these problems. -

Inappropriate?I have a blackberry 8320. I downloaded youversion 1.0.3 when I first got the phone about 3 months ago. It worked great until last week. Now, on the opening screen, the progress bar gets about 2/3 of the way and never goes any further. I tried reinstalling the software but that didn't help. Please help. Thanks!

I loads alright and reboots the phone but it still does not connnect. I get a message, 'cannot connect to YouVersion.com

Inappropriate?I have a Blackberry 8900 and I am struggeling to load YouVersion onto it. It loads 3/4 of the way and then freez. I have deleted it a couple of times and re-loaded it over and over. Can you please help me get it back on my Blackberry as it worked the first time I installed it and now id does not work at all!

I wish YouVersion would acknowledge that their software has a bug that causes filesystem corruption. None of my other apps do this. -
