Acount Disabled without Authentication ??

I have left my last organization. My profile id associated with this was my company id. Also, I have also associated my profile with my other personal id. My last organization, (Who have the access to my professional email id), have unnecessary asked linkedin to disable my account as they were perhaps fed up with the updates.

Now my account stands disabled (Even when my organization has nothing to do with my account ) as such I have written and phoned linkedin (The call went on voice mail) to activate my account atleast with my personal email. I really wonder linkedin can just disable the account just by 1 email without any further authentication process. This is really scary as either the account / email could be hacked anytime.

Hoping for the best and would update this.
