in need my profile to reflect my location, not just "United States"
LinkedIn automatically changed my location from "greater Denver area" to "United States" over 3 weeks ago. I'm looking for work and no one can find me. I paid to upgrade my service and nothing is being done about this.

Inappropriate?

I use LinkedIN extensively in my personal and business branding. I'm in Chicago, and it's important to my personal brand that I'm listed in Chicago on my LinkedIN profile. About a month ago, that changed...not because of anything I entered, it just changed to United States. Has anyone been able to figure out how to get your city location back on your profile? It's critical, because people search by city, not just by country.
So far, no help from LinkedIN customer service, despite numerous emails.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Same here....for the Bay Area. My profile has the zip code for downtown San Francisco, but my profile only shows "United States".
Once again, LI is breaking things rather than fixing them.
I’m regretting my paid membership
-
Inappropriate?I noticed this on other LI profiles, but not on mine, until I read Phil's message. I just checked my profile; it, too, says "United States" for the location, not the "<city> area" (Lancaster, PA) that it did as recently as a week or so ago. I have not changed my location in my profile. It seems that, with a couple of exceptions, my connections who are most active--and increasing their number of connections--have had this problem. The profiles of those who haven't been active recently still show their City, State location.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate? When I created my account, it showed my location as Colorado Springs. The zip code in my profile is still a Colorado Springs zip code, but my location in LinkedIn is United States. While that is correct, I would like to go back to Colorado Springs

Inappropriate? This is a bug that we found and fixed this week. It should be fixed for all users on the production site by Friday morning.
I’m happy to help.

Yay! Thanks, Adam! -
Inappropriate?Save the thanks for 36 more hours... I want to make sure the fix gets out before we celebrate. :)
I’m trying to not count my chickens before they are hatched.

Inappropriate?Adam...You Rock! Just logged onto LinkedIN. I had to change my zip code to a different Chicago zip, and I'm now listed under a Chicago location.
I've been emailing LinkedIN customer support for weeks, and you got this fixed in a few days.
I also gave you props on The MVPF yahoo group here....http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/My...
Thanks!

Inappropriate?Awesome! Thanks to Phil for addressing the problem, and thanks to Adam for addressing the bug, listening to LI users, & following up!! Fixed my LI profile, & posting Twitter message about it.
Another Adam Nash fan, too.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?I appreciate the kind words, but in this case, I'm just the messenger. The profile team discovered, diagnosed, and fixed the issue. I just got the privilege of sharing the good news.
Take care,
Adam
I’m blushing.
