LinkedIn contacts Export has not worked for at least 3 months
I can't export my LinkedIn contacts - this is really annoying. It has not worked for several months now despite breifly showing "Export is a success" before switching to "There was an unexpected problem that prevented us from completing your request."
If the functionality is not meant to work, it should be removed. Has anyone had success exporting since May?

Inappropriate?Today is September 3, 2008 and I am having this problem also. A google search of the exact error message:
"We're sorry but there was a problem uploading your contacts."
yields no exact results. There is also no help in LinkedIn's FAQ's -- has the site been abandoned?

From your error - were you able to export but not import or did the export give you the "problem uploading your contacts" error? -
Inappropriate?I just exported my contacts list, but suddenly the export group membership list is gone.
last summer they totally screwed up group management, so you couldn't sort or manipulate the group membership. For example I can't get a list of who has joined recently, or sort it in any other order other than the one some LinkedIn bean counter chooses.
The only workaround was exporting group memberships to a spreadsheet and manipulating them. Is't also the only way to manage the merger of duplicate groups.
Now I can't even do this any more. WTF is going on at LinkedIn any way? It seems they just don't care about their users any more. I'm constantly frustrated at things that no longer work, and the tltal lack of response from support. Employees used to participate here, but even that seems to have ended.
Honestly, I'm so frustrated, that if I could find an alternative site that provided what they do, I'd be gone in a flash. Sounds like a market opportunity for someone.

Inappropriate?Oh, yea, we also need the export feature to merge duplicate groups, and preapprove all the old members in the new group. I'm not about to manually time in the 200 members, are you?

Inappropriate?It's now one day away from Sept 1 2009 and I'm having the same problem. Additionally, I can't find a way to contact linkedin in any way shap or form. It says to send an email on the Contact Support tap of the Customer page, but there is only one tab, which is their FAQ. This is really annoying.
