LinkedIn Network Statistics isn't working!
Hello!
I have tried to access my LinkedIn Network Statistics for the past several weeks. I receive the following message: There was an unexpected problem that prevented us from completing your request. I have communication from others with the same issue. Please help!

Inappropriate?HELLO?
Is there anyone home at LinkedIn?
I asked this question a week ago, and you guys are usually on top of issues at LinkedIn. I need some help here- I look at these stats on a routine basis and have not been able to access them for the past few weeks
Thanks!
I’m even more frustrated!
-
Inappropriate?Hi Vicki,
We have identified the bug that is causing this - it was a fairly tricky issue with timing that affected some accounts. The fix is ready, and should be rolled to site with the next release. We're shooting for this weekend.
BTW Please remember that GetSatisfaction isn't an official LinkedIn forum, so the employees here help out when they can.
Hope this helps.
Adam
I’m happy to help

Inappropriate?Good morning Adam,
I am happy to hear you and your partners at LinkedIn isolated th issue, and that a patch is in the works. I am looking forward to full functuality hopefully by next week. I will let you know either way, so your team knows whether it solves the issues.
I do know that GetSatisfaction is not an official LinkedIn forum, and that you and other employees help whenever you are not busy with your regular duties at LinkedIn. I truly appreciate the level of customer service you and your team have offered here at GetSatisfaction in the past, which is why I returned to the forum. When a week went by without contact, I thought perhaps my question and issue might have fallen thru the cracks.
My level of frustration stemmed from my view as a customer paying $600/ yr for a service that is malfunctioning. LinkedIn is a major part of my business strategy that I have come to depend on. Network Statistics is one way I evaluate my efforts spent on LinkedIn. I waited several weeks before coming forward- hoping the issue would be solved. Perhaps if I had come forward sooner- your team may have solved the issue quicker.
Thanks to you and your team mates!
Cheers!
Vicki Bass-DeBinion
I’m happy & confidant the issue will be solved

Inappropriate?Hi Vicki,
I totally understand your frustration, and I'm glad we were able to get this issue resolved. I hope others will let us know if they still see problems.
We take bug reports very seriously. The biggest help anyone can give us is a verified, reproducible example of the problem. In fact, one of the biggest clues we have is the actual member account of the person reporting the problem.
One of the problems we have here on GetSatisfaction is that it can be hard to actually figure out which LinkedIn account belongs to the person reporting the problem. It's something we've actually talked to the GetSatisfaction team about enabling. (Imagine seeing someone's LinkedIn profile here on GetSatisfaction, with every post.)
Thanks for your persistence. Fixing these issues, particularly the ones that affect only certain accounts, is really a team effort.
Take care,
Adam
I’m glad we squashed this bug
-
Inappropriate? Please see the other thread on this topic - we are still seeing sporadic reports of this problem. Seems like there were multiple causes - we fixed one, but there is clearly another lurking.
We have engineers looking into it right now.
Adam
I’m confident that we'll nail this bug.
-
Inappropriate?Hello Adam,
Thank you for your candor, as well as your team's efforts in finding the multiple solutions to this issue. I was not aware that their was another link regarding similar issues with the Network Stats on LinkedIn- it should have come up when I stated my problem originally.
I did suppy my profile link, as well as copied the error message in my original request. Perhaps this should be a prerequisite on GetSatisfaction for the originating request, as well as all who join in the conversation that are having the same issues. I agree that this would help your team, as well as other team's here on GetSatisfaction to find solutions. It would be more productive than listening to a bunch of angry people chiming in and pointing fingers which has happened in the past ;)
I am still having the bug, but am hoping it will be fixed once the first patch is completed. I will let you know after I log in on Monday. Keep up the good work!
Cheers!
Vicki
I’m happy with LinkedIn customer service & GetSatisfaction forum!
-
Inappropriate?Adam,
Unless I am missing something, the Network Statistics fix did not take on my profile. I am still getting the same error message.
I must have more bugs in my profile. Please take a look when you have a minute, and apply whatever new fixes you have to me as well.
Thanks!
Vicki
I’m bummed, but confidant LinkedIn will come to the rescue
-
Inappropriate?I am getting the same error when I attempt to view my Network Statistics.
Here is my profile if that helps: http://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffhargens
Thanks,
Jeff
I’m confident I'll see a fix soon!!
-
Inappropriate?Just to clarify, there are no bugs with anyone's profile. The issue is that certain accounts seem to be triggering the bug with the Network Statistics page.
We fixed the error that we were seeing previously, but now a new error has started occurring for some people. Our engineers are investigating it now.
Adam
I’m happy to help.
-
Inappropriate?Adam,
Do we have an approximate time for how long this is going to take to fix? As it stands we have had this out of service for around 2 weeks (if not longer) for me and my colleges, so it would be beneficial for us to know.
Thanks goes to you and your team of engineers to looking into this and all the assistance is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Declan
I’m thankful for your help.
-
Inappropriate?Hi Declan,
I'm sorry to report that right now we're still investigating the issue. We have not been able to reproduce it in our testing environments, which makes it particularly tricky. It seems to only happen with certain accounts on the full public site.
They are investigating closely. When we have a fix, I will post an update here. The only thing we know for sure at this point is that the error that was occurring before is completely gone... but something is still failing on this page for a very small % of users.
Adam
I’m anxious to report better news.

Inappropriate? This suggestion was made under a similar topic - and it worked for me, too:
Josh (http://getsatisfaction.com/people/jos...) replied to CAN'T ACCESS LINKED IN ANYMORE--HELP!!!!!, a problem about LinkedIn.
Ok, my brother is a computer genius - he's the one who gave the temporary solution of using a proxie, and now he actually completely fixed the problem for me and I can get into linkedin no problem. He used www.opendns.com. I don't know enough about that stuff to take you further than that, but if you need more help contact him - handyandy.com
