LinkedIn - why operate such a large network, if you don't want to talk to people?
Over 1 month ago LinkedIn 'Suspended' my account without logical explanation or reason. When I tried to log on I got a message telling me who to contact to resolve the problem, but for 1 month NO ONE from LI would respond to my emails, voice mails, phone calls, etc.
Then, without any prior notification or explanation my account was unsuspended. I spent 3 days wading through over 1250 invitations and 2000 group joining requests, messgaes, introductions, etc, until I had the total down to less than 1000 (of which 700 were Q&A). Then, about 5 days ago, LinkedIn 'Suspended' my account without logical explanation or reason - and once again will not speak with me. I have over 23,000 connections and 500 Groups of which I own and adminster about 25. Not only am I getting NO SERVICE (all though LI is successfully insulting my intelligence and wasting my time) all of my connections and group members are getting no service too!
Having spent several days catching up on some of the outstanding introductions, invitations, group management, etc. after the first unexplained, unreasonable denial of service LI actions are massively inconveniencing others and damaging its own reputation as well as mine. I have a significant backlog of messages etc. still to be dealt with and you have asked me to reduce my group memberships - none of these can I deal with while my account is locked.
Has LI made a mistake?
The 'Ticket' referred to "use of true names rather than pseudonyms, business names, associations, or groups when registering on our site" I have used my true name and continue to do so - how else could LI communicate with me?
This is verging on corporate bullying, restraint of trade and denial of free speech, all matters about which I am sure you have a passionate view.
Please, someone at LI talk to me? I have done a huge amount for LI to help growth in the UK against the much loved (here) ecadamy and XING, and elsewhere - LI drove one person (at least) to the brink of suicide - is that a corporate policy?
LI's attention - today - would be greatly appreciated.
For those who might cite the use of LION in my name - that is what I am known as by many people - my middle name is Leonard:
My name is John L. Evans - L for Leonard also called Len, Leo and LION!! My grandfather's name was Leonard, he was killed 6 months before I was born in a motorcycle accident!

Inappropriate? You have some sort of relationship with 23000 people and there are 500 groups that you're actually interested in? And you honestly call yourself "Lion" because your parents named you Leonard? That's just weird.
I’m amused

What do you know - you are evidently a "qwak" ....... ;-)
What you don't appreciate is that all of what I have said is true, but I would only need to post such a lengthy note here - indeed I only need to post here at all - because of the gross insolence of LinkedIn in ignoring me as a customer and my requests for dialogue / explanation.
I can only surmise that LI Customer Service staff are not receiving my messages and that I am being blocked by corporate policy / filters - otherwise am I to conclude that the individual staff (some of whom I have know personally for years and spent many hours talking with) are being rude and ignorant? I don't accept that.
Cheers John -
Inappropriate?well, yeah, there customer service is definitely too slow. I have to give ya' that.

Inappropriate?Good afternoon! While my profile has not been suspended, I have heard of other people who had the same issue as you. I have since backed up my account and connections....
I did receive a note within a customer service on a different topic that my name was incorrect per the user agreement (Tania-René Valdespino, MBA I accept all Invites rose13scot@yahoo.com | MBA professional actively seeking position in Tampa, DC metro, Houston, KC). Likedin also removed my photo as it was not a professional representation of me (it was the entrance to the Children's Exhibit at Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum in Jersualem).
Normally, LI responds relatively quickly to my Customer Service inquiries (and there have been several). I thik they may be a little slower due to an increased volume with fielding comments/concerns about its recent changes like the limit to 50 Groups (I was over 300 with 10 pending approval and more on the list to apply).
Sorry to hear about your woes! -
Inappropriate? Thanks for your support and concern.
I think the very simple reason tha LI have locked my account and ignored me - even on here!! is simply because they want tostifle the LIONs!

Inappropriate?Lion,
After reading your complaint, I think I know what has happenned to my lost contacts. You can view my complaint here:
http://getsatisfaction.com/linkedin/t...
Until the changes in August, I had never made a complaint about LinkedIn. However, I feel my complaints are overlooked and LI's communication is aweful and disrespectful.
I’m dissatisfied by the silent treatment.
