new connections incorrectly reported as "has joined LinkedIn Add as a connection"

Here's yet another new bug since the "downgrade" last week ...

I just added several new connections from a recent networking meeting I attended. On the Network Updates" page, I see them show up as a new connection like I expect. But right above that, I'm getting a second line that "John Smith has joined LinkedIn Add as a connection »" when they were already a member when I found them.
