That is a good idea, Steven. As a matter of fact, I think we are currently rotating it in the ad slot at the top of the home page. I'll see if we can make it more persistent.
I’m thankful for passionate users.

Steven, indeed we did. On Thursday, 2/28 we refreshed of our design and launched a new, consistent navigation system that gives us the framework to provide a whole host of great new features this year.
You can read more about it at the LinkedIn blog and catch a demo of some of the new features which might help you become more comfortable with the new layout.

Inappropriate? For me it seemed to changed around a fair bit in the last month.. is this the 'final' format change? as in not changing for a few more months?
-
Inappropriate? This is final. We launched a beta version of the new homepage back in December and incrementally rolled it out to users over the next two months. We made weekly adjustments to the layout and feature set based on feedback we received and learned a lot in the process about what was working and what wasn't.

Inappropriate?Thanks for this info - I'll surely will take a deep(er) look!
Why not post a link to the blog on the homepage of users for whom the changes are effective? I'm pretty sure I won't be the only one with the question I asked...

Inappropriate? Please consider an alert box / message when you are performing A / B testing or flipping small changes in a short (< week?) time frame.
I was helping several former employees with job searches at the time that these changes occured and it was very difficult to explain the value / stability of a system that appeared to be 'twitchy'
I’m fearful of the future, but trying to be hopeful
