Why do I keep getting an error message when I try to edit my profile?

Has anyone ever tried to edit their profile and then received the following error message: "There was an unexpected problem that prevented us from completing your request." No further information, and no ability to complete the update.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Katherine
