Inappropriate?Dear Pierre, thanks for your idea and especially the extra effort of mocking it up in a screenshot.
Juice already allows you to search directly in the sidebar, by changing the search engine in Firefox' search box (see attached image).
We're thinking about how to improve this and allow you to type queries in the sidebar without having to switch search engine. We hope you enjoy using Juice.

Inappropriate?Hi Pierre, just to provide you with an update. The new Juice (1.0.1) now also let's you keep "Google" (for example) as your default search engine. You can grab it here: http://grabjuice.com
We added a nice little trick, which let's users search directly in the sidebar by formatting their queries with "juice" in front of them.
For example:
juice Transformers
Will open the sidebar and perform a search for Transformers. This way, you do not have to change your search engine settings in order for you to search in the sidebar directly. Hope you like it!
