Inappropriate?We've seen this happen in some cases when you have our Technology Preview version installed. Please try uninstalling Photosynth from the Control Panel, then delete everything in the C:\Program Files\Photosynth directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Photosynth on x64 machines.)
If this doesn't work, please try upgrading to a later version of Firefox (3.0.5 is the latest) or use Internet Explorer to install Photosynth.
If you could provide these details it would also be helpful:
1) Browser type and version
2) Operating system and service pack
3) When the installer runs, does it complete? (i.e. Do you get all the way to the end with the "Finish" button)1 Comment

I have this problem with plug-ins in IE7. Flash, Shockwave, and Photosynth all have problems installing and running properly. Each time the installation says it completes properly (all the way to the finish button), but something in IE is not allowing it to work (probably one of the many stupid security settings that cause so much pain in VIsta and IE7). I recently installed Firefox and everything seems to be working in it.
