I'm sorry that no one's reached out to you in all this time. If you're still interested in trying Photosynth, I'm willing to try to help you find out what's going wrong.
You wrote that "...when I click Install nothing happens.". Does that mean that:
a) the installer did not start downloading
b) after downloading the installer and opening it after it finished downloading, no install window ever opened
c) after downloading the installer and opening it after it finished downloading, you are given an error message and the installation cannot complete?
